Please be aware of the following security instructions
Safely store your PIN letter. The PIN letter contains important information.
Always keep your ID card in a safe place.
Only you should know your six-digit PIN. Do not use an easy-to-guess combination of numbers, e.g. 123456, or your date of birth or other numbers that can be read on your ID card. You can find additional information on your PIN here.
Do not tell others your PIN.
Do not keep the PIN and the ID card together in the same place.
Never note the PIN on the ID card. The eID cannot be used without your PIN.
Cut the connection between the smartphone or card reader and ID card immediately after electronic identification.
Regularly update your operating system, anti-virus program and firewall.
If you have lost your ID card or it has been stolen, please immediately report the loss to an ID issuing authority or to the police. These authorities will arrange for the eID to be blocked. This blocking will ensure that any misuse will be detected at once.
